A page finish! And Hermit and Stitch Weekend.

Wow! I finally made it, I never thought I would. I finished the first page from Envy a few days ago, for all of you quick-stitchers, this might not seem as a big accomplishment, there are so many people out there who stitch much faster than I ever will. But since this is my first HAED design, I do feel this is sort of a milestone for me. So here she is:

I've already started on the second page, since I am behind on my goals. I intended to finish page 1 last month, so I am 13 days behind to be exact.

I found out from Ewa's blog, that there's a Hermit and Stitch Weekend this upcoming weekend. Since I always wanted to participate in those, I signed up - even though we're having guests Saturday, so I probably won't get a lot done. But I am looking forward to see other people's progress on their projects as well.

You can sign up for the Hermit and Stitch Weekend here:

I intend to make an update on monday on how it all went.

Happy Stitching!

  2. Page one looks great! I love the colors, though I imagine the confetti wasn't too much fun. Congrats on getting it done!

  3. It looks great Cat. I have this chart too, but I haven't started it yet. You're tempting me though, lol. I have four of the sins, and I still am gonna get the other three. Love your Envy. She looks wonderful. Keep up the good work!

  7. Hi Cat! I think that's a huge accomplishment and I LOVE it. All those greens are sooooo yummy. :D Can't wait to see your IHSW update. :)

  8. Your Envy is so lovely! I can't wait to see your progress on her!

  9. She is stunning! What count are you stitching on and with how many threads of DMC? I am fairly new to HAED as well and I found the more you stitch the faster you get!

  10. Hi there, sorry for my very late reply.

forEnvy you need 90 different colours of thread. In this page I think there were 40-something colours.

Iam stitching her on 18 ct aida - though I must admit, I find the stitches a bit small at times.
